NYK announces Asia-Adriatic Service

NYK will launch a new service to/from Asia into the Adriatic region via the China-Europe Shuttle service (CES) connecting over Taranto onto two Adriatic services,

Adriatic Service 1 and Adriatic Service 2 (ADS1 / ADS2).

This new service represents its commitment to grow and develop the products in tandem with its customers’ growing needs of covering Central and Eastern Europe from northern Adriatic gateway ports. It will expand the coverage from Asia to the northern Adriatic ports of Venice, Koper, Trieste, Rijeka and offers an important gateway to Hungary, Slovenia, Slovakia, Austria, Croatia, and north Italy.

Ports of call for CES / ADS1 / ADS2 will be as follows:

CES

Kaohsiung (Tue/Tue) – Qingdao (Fri/Fri) – Ningbo (Sat/Sun) – Shanghai (Sun/Tue) – Taipei (Wed/Thu) – Hong Kong (Fri/Fri) – Yantian (Sat/Sat) – Colombo (Sat/Sun) – Taranto (Wed/Thu) – Rotterdam (Wed/Thu) – Hamburg (Fri/Sat) – Thamesport (Sun/Mon) – Taranto (Mon/Tue) – Colombo (Sun/Mon) – Kaohsiung (Tue/Tue)

ADS1

Taranto (Sat/Sun) – Trieste (Mon/Tue) – Taranto (Fri/Sat)

ADS2

Taranto (Fri/Sat) – Koper (Sun/Mon) – Venice (Mon/Tue) – Rijeka (Tue/Wed) – Taranto (Thu/Fri)

The new service has commenced with the westbound voyage of CES leaving Kaohsiung on December 28, 2010. The first eastbound sailing will be the CES leaving Taranto on February 8, 2011.
